Metal Roofing Sheet
Corrugated cover that lasts.
Our Metal Roofing Sheet is a corrugated profiled sheet cold-rolled from continuously hot-dip galvanised steel, supplied either mill-finished or pre-painted in a durable organic coating. At a typical 0.5 mm core thickness with a 1000 mm effective cover width, it delivers a high strength-to-weight ratio that lets a single sheet span purlin centres other coverings cannot reach, keeping structures light and erection fast.

The zinc or aluminium-zinc metallic layer gives sacrificial, self-healing corrosion protection at cut edges and scratches, while the optional polyester paint system adds colour stability and a second barrier against weathering. Sheets are roll-formed to a regular corrugated profile and cut to the exact rafter length on order, so runs install end-to-end with minimal lapping, less waste and fewer fixings.
Manufactured to EN 508-1 and EN 14782 with CE marking, and to ASTM A653/A924 where North American practice applies, the sheet is engineered for industrial, agricultural and residential roofing across a wide span of climates. As a non-combustible steel product it carries a reaction-to-fire performance of Euroclass A1, making it equally suited to warehouses, sheds, canopies and pitched domestic roofs. Supplied across Europe, North America and beyond with full documentation.

▸Industrial roofing
Lightweight large-span cover for factories, plants and steel-frame structures where fast, economical weatherproofing is essential.
▸Warehouses & sheds
Long unbroken runs cut to rafter length minimise laps and speed up enclosure of distribution and storage buildings.
▸Residential roofs
Pre-painted corrugated sheet provides a durable, colour-stable pitched roof for houses, extensions and outbuildings.
▸Agricultural buildings
Corrosion-resistant cover for barns, livestock shelters and equipment stores in demanding rural environments.
▸Canopies & walkways
Stiff, self-supporting sheet roofs car ports, loading bays and covered walkways with minimal supporting steel.
▸Wall cladding
The same profile doubles as vertical or horizontal façade cladding for a coordinated building envelope.
▸Corrosion resistant
Zinc or alu-zinc metallic coating gives sacrificial, self-healing protection at edges and fixings for long service life.
▸Lightweight
At around 4.5 kg/m² the sheet reduces structural loads, transport cost and on-site handling effort.
▸Large spans
High stiffness from the corrugated profile lets sheets bridge wide purlin centres with fewer supports.
▸Fast install
Cut-to-length sheets fix straight to purlins with self-drilling screws, covering large areas quickly with minimal lapping.
▸Non-combustible
Steel core delivers a Euroclass A1 reaction-to-fire performance, contributing nothing to fire growth.
▸Colour choice
Pre-painted polyester finish is available across a wide RAL range for design freedom and weather durability.
EN 508-1
Roofing and cladding products from metal sheet — specification for self-supporting products of steel sheet, defining tolerances, coatings and performance.
EN 14782
Self-supporting metal sheet for roofing, external cladding and internal lining — product specification, requirements and the basis for CE marking (Annex ZA).
EN 10346
Continuously hot-dip coated steel flat products — material grade (DX51D) and metallic coating classes such as Z275 zinc and AZ150 aluminium-zinc.
EN 13501-1
Reaction-to-fire classification — uncoated and metallic-coated steel sheet achieves Euroclass A1 (non-combustible).
ASTM A653 / A924
US specification for hot-dip zinc-coated (galvanised) steel sheet and the general requirements for metallic-coated sheet, for North American projects.
- ▸Fix into purlin crowns with self-drilling/self-tapping screws and bonded EPDM washers at the recommended pitch; do not over-tighten.
- ▸Lay sheets working away from the prevailing wind and maintain a minimum one-corrugation side lap, sealed where pitch is low.
- ▸Provide adequate end-lap (typically ≥150 mm) with mastic or butyl sealant tape on shallow pitches to prevent capillary water ingress.
- ▸Cut and drill on the ground using nibblers, shears or slow-speed saws — never an abrasive disc, which damages the coating and causes edge rust.
- ▸Remove all swarf, off-cuts and filings from the finished roof daily to avoid rust staining of the paint or metallic coating.
- ▸Handle bundles by the lift points, store off the ground under cover on a slight fall, and remove protective film promptly after fixing.

Galvanised and standard-colour pre-painted sheet in common thicknesses is typically held in stock for short lead times, while bespoke colours, metallic-coating upgrades and large fixed-length orders are made to order with indicative lead times confirmed at enquiry; representative samples and colour chips are available before commitment. Every consignment ships with a full documentation pack — Technical Data Sheet, mill and coating certificates, declaration of performance for CE marking, and finish warranty where applicable — and we supply across Europe, North America and beyond, handling export packing, marking and shipping documentation throughout.
Metal Roofing Sheet
questions.
GI is mill-finished zinc-coated steel that weathers to a natural grey; PPGI adds a coloured polyester paint system over the zinc for a chosen RAL colour and a second layer of weather protection. Both share the same corrosion-resistant base.
A minimum pitch of around 10° is recommended. Use at least a one-corrugation side lap and an end lap of roughly 150 mm; on shallower pitches seal laps with butyl tape or mastic to prevent capillary water ingress.
Yes. Sheets are cut to order, typically up to 8 m, so a single length can run eave-to-ridge with no intermediate end lap — reducing waste, fixings and installation time.
A Z275 zinc coating gives sacrificial, self-healing protection and typically withstands 500–1000 hours of salt-spray testing to ISO 9227. For coastal or aggressive environments an AZ150 aluminium-zinc coating offers extended durability.
Yes. As a steel product the sheet is non-combustible and achieves a reaction-to-fire performance of Euroclass A1 to EN 13501-1 in its uncoated and metallic-coated forms, contributing nothing to fire growth.
They are manufactured to EN 508-1 and EN 14782 with CE marking, from EN 10346 hot-dip coated steel, and to ASTM A653/A924 for North American projects. A declaration of performance and mill certificates accompany each order.
Yes — we supply across Europe, North America and beyond. Each consignment ships with a Technical Data Sheet, mill and coating certificates, a CE declaration of performance, finish warranty where applicable, and full export packing and shipping documentation.
